Extract Audio from Video
Extract the audio track from an MP4, WebM or MOV video and save it as MP3 or AAC. Runs entirely in your browser. No upload, no watermark, no sign-up.
How it works
- 01Drop in a video file (MP4, WebM, MOV and similar).
- 02Choose MP3 with a bitrate, or AAC copy for a lossless, instant extract.
- 03Click Extract. The audio is pulled out locally in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Which video formats can I extract audio from?
Common formats like MP4, WebM, MOV and MKV that use standard codecs work well. The audio is decoded and re-encoded to MP3, or copied straight out as AAC when the source already contains an AAC track.
MP3 or AAC: which should I choose?
Pick MP3 for the widest compatibility and a bitrate you control. Choose 'AAC (copy)' when the video already has AAC audio: it copies the track without re-encoding, so it's near-instant and lossless, saving to an .m4a file.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
No. Extraction happens entirely inside your browser using a local copy of the FFmpeg engine. Your video never leaves your device and nothing is sent to any server.
Is there a file-size limit?
There's no fixed limit, but the whole file is held in your browser's memory. Files up to a few hundred MB are usually fine; for very large videos use a desktop browser with plenty of RAM.
How fast is it?
The engine downloads once (about 31 MB) the first time you use it, then is cached. AAC copy is almost instant; MP3 re-encoding takes a few seconds to a minute depending on length and your device.
