Trim Video
Cut a clip from any video by setting start and end times. Fast lossless stream-copy or exact re-encode, 100% in your browser. No upload, no watermark.
How it works
- 01Load a video. A preview player appears so you can find your cut points.
- 02Set start and end times by typing mm:ss or using 'Use current position'.
- 03Choose fast lossless trim (keyframe-snapped) or exact re-encode.
- 04Click Trim, then download your clipped video.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between fast trim and exact trim?
Fast trim copies the video stream without re-encoding, so it's very quick and keeps the original quality, but cuts snap to the nearest keyframe, so the start may be slightly off. Exact trim re-encodes for frame-accurate cut points at the cost of some processing time.
How do I set the start and end points?
Type times as mm:ss (or hh:mm:ss), or scrub the built-in preview and click 'Use current position' to grab the exact moment for the start or end.
Does the trimmed video keep its audio?
Yes. Both fast and exact trim keep the original audio track in sync with the trimmed video.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Trimming happens entirely in your browser with a local FFmpeg engine. Your video stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Is there a size limit or speed concern?
The file is processed in browser memory, so extremely large videos may be slow or run out of memory. Fast trim is nearly instant; exact trim scales with clip length. For big files, prefer a desktop browser.
